Tavo Warranty Policy

OUR GEAR AND ACCESSORIES

 

All of our products are covered by a 2-year warranty from the original date of purchase as shown on your sales receipt or invoice or as otherwise specified by us.

Specifics

If for some reason our products show a defect in materials or workmanship when your product is used in accordance with our user manuals during the warranty period, please contact info.uk@tavopets.com. To make a claim under the warranty, we require your full name, postal address and contact number along with a copy of your sales receipt/proof of purchase clearly showing the date of purchase, an image of the product model and serial number, with a brief description and video/image of the problem.

 

If your product fails due to a manufacturing defect, we will either send you a replacement part or make a repair free of charge. This also covers the cost of shipping. If a manufacturing defect cannot be repaired, we will replace the product with the same model and colour. If an identical product is not available, we will replace it with the closest model and colour. It is important to note our warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferrable. Repairs completed do not extend the 2-year warranty period.

 

If you made your purchase from an authorised dealer, please return your product to them for it to be repaired or replaced free of charge. If you bought it via our website, please contact our Consumer Service team at info.uk@tavopets.com  Please note that this warranty is only valid for goods returned in the original country of purchase.

What is covered by our manufacturer’s warranty?

  • Our warranty covers all manufacturing defects of the ‘original purchaser only’ including chassis/frame, wheels, harnesses, zips, fasteners, seams and belt systems when your product has been used in the way described in our instruction and care manuals.

Our Warranty DOES NOT Cover

  • Damage caused through normal wear and tear, accidental damage by pet or purchaser, misuse, negligence or failure to follow the user guides in our user manuals. Normal wear and tear includes: Wheels and Tyres that have worn down during regular use; the natural fading of fabrics from sunlight or storage; damage to product materials through regular use.
  • Corrosion or rust on the wheels or chassis/frame due to environmental conditions including high humidity, salt spray, ice or snow, insufficient maintenance or improper storage.
  • Damage caused by other environmental conditions such as mold, mildew, dirt or exposure to harmful chemicals.
  • Any repairs made by unauthorized third parties.
  • Incorrect or inappropriate usage of gear not limited to care, maintenance, storage and cleaning that does not follow the instructions in our manuals.
  • Accidents and carelessness including those caused by the use of unsuitable parts and by both air and freight transportation.
  • Items purchased or gifted through a non-retailer third party or items gifted in a used condition.
  • Opinion dissatisfaction pertaining to functionality, features or aesthetics.
  • The warranty is only valid for goods purchased and returned in the United Kingdom.

How to proceed with warranty claim:

Simply send an email to info.usa@tavopets.com and include the following information:

  • A brief description of the problem along with a photo or video of the issue.
  • Photo of the serial label.
  • A copy of your item receipt, including date of purchase, is required.
  • Include your name, phone number and shipping address.

What does this limited warranty cover?

 

Tavo Pet Essentials warrants that during the 2-year limited warranty period described below, its pet carriers, accessories, and gear will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty is not transferable, and it is the exclusive remedy for the purchaser of a Tavo product.

 

How long does Tavo’s warranty last?

 

All our pet carriers, accessories, and gear are covered by this 2-year limited warranty, starting from the date that you purchased the product. This warranty expires if the purchaser of the product sells or otherwise transfers the product to a third party.

 

What is Tavo’s commitment?

 

Tavo will, in its sole election, either replace any defective item or any malfunctioning part with the same or a similar item/part, or refund to you the amount that you paid for the item.

 

What does Tavo’s limited warranty not cover?

 

  • Any problem caused by misuse or abuse of the product, including, but not limited to, the failure to properly maintain, store, or clean the product.
  • Any problem resulting from improperly modifying the product.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Damage caused to the product by pollution, sunlight, or other environmental conditions such as mold, dirt, mildew, or exposure to harmful chemicals.
  • Consequential and incidental damages are not recoverable under this limited warranty.  Some states do not allow an exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to you.
  • Items purchased or gifted through a non-retailer third party or items gifted in used condition will not be warranted.
  • Products involved in an accident resulting in damage and/or losses.
  • Opinion dissatisfaction pertaining to functionality, features, or aesthetics.
  • This warranty is only valid for goods returned in the original country of purchase.
